Peach on Black Street Style

Thursday, January 26, 2017

Last week has been a quite busy week for me... studying for exams and projects, that had to be done. It is such a relief to finish some exams and hand in those projects. But hey, some exams are yet to come (yeiyy)!
Milano has been super sunny lately! But to be honest, it was still too cold to wear my (faux) leather jacket. I went for the layer look with a lace detailed camisole top in a peachy color and a white basic shirt. I'm wearing ripped pants in black with fishnet tights under them and velvet ankle boots to match my top. Wish you all a great weekend! xx

when in Florence...

Thursday, January 19, 2017

Since I had the chance to go to Florence for Pitti Uomo, I decided to stay there for a few days and take the opportunity to explore the city. All I can say is that I love this city! It is very ancient with beautiful architecture and a romantic vibe. We had the perfect weather on Saturday. We went to see the amazing Ponte Vecchio, which is the oldest bridge in Florence. I was also very impressed of the beauty and size of the Duomo di Firenze. It was wonderful during night and daytime. A place, where we had to go was the Uffizi Gallery. An art museum with paintings from the Renaissance era, for example "The Birth of Venus" by Botticelli. It is really different when you see these famous paintings in person. After the Gallery we went to the Palazzo Pitti. I have to say, that this was my favorite place, that we visited in Florence. The palace was incredible, the inside of the palace was breathtaking. If you go to this city, you should really visit this place! For lunch I had a delicious truffle pasta in a cute Italian restaurant (unfortunately I don't remember the name). To finish the day we wanted to see the sunset from above. My friend saw some random stairs and "forced" me to go up there. We walked all the way up and were kind of lost. But god thanks, we met a nice Korean girl, who helped us finding the way to Piazzale Michelangelo. It is an amazing spot to see the sun go down. Despite the long detour we did to reach the place, it was totally worth it. You could see all over Florence and really feel the vibe of the city. It was an amazing and successful trip!

Pittio Uomo 91

Sunday, January 15, 2017

A Trip to Florence for Pitti Uomo! Last Friday I had the opportunity to attend the most important platform for men's clothing and accessories: Pitti Uomo! It was the 91. edition, which was held at the Fortezza da Basso in beautiful Florence. The three days fair is held twice a year. It was a great experience to see the collections of well known and upcoming brands. The men at the fair dress very classy and elegant with hats, sunglasses and other interesting details. Their outfits are literally on point. I was really impressed of Pitti Uomo and I got very inspired on that day. Even though the weather was rainy and cloudy, I enjoyed it a lot. I really hope to go there again in June.

Vintage Shopping in Navigli

Monday, January 02, 2017

On the last Sunday of every month the "Mercatone dell'Antiquariato" takes place in Milan at the Naviglio Grande canal. It is a vintage market with all kind of things. You can find almost everything there like mirrors, books, paintings, sunglasses, bags etc. And of course my favorite items: clothes. They have countless good quality vintage jackets, also from good brands for amazing prices! If you look closely and don't show up too late (opens 9:00-18:00), I am sure you will find something good for you. I visited the market twice and both times I ended up with a new jacket, including the red coat. The market overall is very beautiful and cute with a nice atmosphere. It is nice to just walk along the canal without buying anything. The Naviglio Grande looked magical with the Christmas decoration.

Can't believe this year is already over, it went by super fast. I'm very upset, that I caught a flu with high fever. Therefore my new year's eve plans got cancelled and I got to spend it in bed.
